Shibanuma Yuzu Katsuo Ponzu Soy Sauce is a well-balanced Japanese ponzu made by Shibanuma, a long-established soy sauce producer from Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
It combines fragrant yuzu citrus with savoury bonito (katsuo) dashi, creating a ponzu that’s fresh, tangy, and deeply umami without being overpowering. The flavour is clean and rounded, with a good balance of saltiness, mild sweetness, and citrus brightness.
Made using traditional fermentation and slowly aged without heat treatment, the sauce keeps its natural aroma and depth of flavour. It is super easy to use and very versatile - works well as a dipping sauce for sashimi, gyoza, and grilled meats, and also doubles as a light salad dressing or marinade.
